Routes are only seen by the members of your group.
Create a group and invite people to join through the app or create and send a secure invitation. You can share group links, but only the group controller can accept members in to the group.
Or accept an invitation to join someone else’s group. You will know who is inviting you as the invitation will tell you both the name of the group, and the person inviting you.
Groups are simple to manage, and you can be in as many groups as you like!
Create routes for now or for later. The route will show on a map, and once you start it, location tracking will let anyone further along the route know you are coming.
You can add stops along the way, or let anyone in your group suggest them.
Or accept an invitation to join someone else’s route.
Ongoing and upcoming routes will appear on the home screen to remind you.
Your group members will receive a notification when anyone creates a route, and can accept, decline, or suggest alterations, all with just few clicks.
Select the route anytime to see who you are walking with, where you are going, and when and where you are meeting.
If you want to contact people you are walking with, in-route messaging allows you to contact them whenever you like. Messages are linked to each route, so they are relevant, and when the route ends the messages expire - to stop your phone getting clogged up.
You can cancel your route, or let others know you are no longer joining their route with just one click, and everyone on the route will be notified.
That’s it. No messaging back and forth and scrolling through long group chats.
Whether walking home late, or making the most of good weather on a Sunday afternoon, don’t walk on your own.
Footbus takes the hassle away from arranging to meet up and walk with a group.
We hope it will help get you out and about with your friends, for safety, fitness and friendship.
